The renovation of an existing airport concourse to modernize the passenger experience and upgrade a tired, aging facility.

The new concourse space includes 29 successive and alternating folded ceiling modules which we call the “staggered martinis”. Underneath the triangular ceiling planes, enclosing the perimeter, is a transparent view of the airfield. Travelers’ experience is prioritized with an inside-out design approach. High ceilings and wide, unobstructed floor-plates allow the passengers, airlines, and staff room to utilize increased amenities and comfortable circulation. Restaurants, retail spaces, and performance and play areas spill out onto the edge of the main circulation pathway as places of interest similar to exploring the streets of Memphis.
