  • Perspective Collective: MEM Makers + Mentors w/ Mark Weaver @ Bar Limina

Bar Limina 631 Madison Avenue, Memphis, TN, United States

Join AIA Memphis Emerging Professionals for MEM Makers + Mentors, an intimate evening of conversation with Mark Weaver, FAIA, Principal Emeritus at HBG Design, former AIA Tennessee President, and the award-winning designer behind projects including the Caption by Hyatt and Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis. Set in the welcoming atmosphere of Bar Limina, this small-group gathering offers a rare opportunity to engage one-on-one with one of Memphis' most accomplished architects.

Rather than a formal presentation, the evening is designed as an open dialogue where emerging professionals can ask questions, exchange ideas, and gain insight into design leadership, career growth, licensure, and the realities of practice. Drawing from more than four decades of experience creating nationally recognized hospitality, civic, and urban projects, Mark will share lessons on architecture, placemaking, adaptive reuse, and designing with a deep respect for local culture and context.

Whether you're pursuing licensure, developing your design voice, or simply looking to learn from a respected mentor, this is an opportunity to build meaningful connections and gain perspectives that only come through a lifetime of practice.
