Memphis stands at a unique moment in time…
For the first time in its history, the community has come together to establish an initiative to take ownership of its identity and to build the Memphis brand. We call it the Memphis Brand Initiative.
We area collaboration of individuals and organizations dedicated to elevating Memphis, captivating audiences locally and globally, to create catalytic positive change for our entire community. Led by President and CMO David French whose brand experience extends from the national parks to MTV, the Memphis Brand Initiative is a unique, independent non-profit with one goal -- to lead Memphis stakeholders in well-coordinated, best-in-class brand, marketing and communications practices which spark civic pride and attract talent, tourist, and business investment to Memphis.
Join David as he unveils the journey of the Memphis brand and the exciting progress that is already being achieved. Did you know Memphis was recently named America’s most generous city, the #1 city for black-owned businesses, and the #1 city for women entrepreneurs? We will learn valuable insights through research, understand the process of identifying the true “story” of Memphis, and finally, get a first-look at all the ways they are positively changing Memphis and shaping a powerful movement.
