AIA Memphis hosts the Third Thursday: Lectures on Local Design series on the third Thursday of each month. Open to the public, Third Thursdays are hosted by local architects and designers as they share their knowledge and experience with projects in the Mid-South and beyond.

This session will include a brief presentation of each project followed by a panel discussion around:

  • the current status of LEED and green building in the West TN area.
  • reasons why local projects decide to pursue LEED certification.
  • the benefits and challenges of LEED projects in Memphis.
  • understanding the architect’s role in a LEED project.
