The Distinguished Architects of the World Series lecture is presented annually with Memphis in May International Festival to celebrate the outstanding architecture and design of the celebrated country. Giancarlo Mazzanti is the award-winning Colombian architect behind such transformational works as the España Library in Medellín and El Porvenir Kindergarten in Bogotá. As founder and principal of El Equipo de Mazzanti, he has developed an innovative aesthetic based on high quality design as a catalyst for social change, recently highlighted in this Huffington Post article.

In 2017, Mazzanti was named an Honorary Fellow by the American Institute of Architects, the highest honor the Institute can bestow. See it here and read the article from Architect Magazine here.
