Memphis Medical District Collaborative
Presented by Tommy Pacello | President
Leaders of some of Memphis' most significant healthcare and higher education institutions, as well as community leaders from the Edge District and Victorian Village created the Memphis Medical District Collaborative, a nonprofit community development entity. The MMDC is responsible for the making the district more livable, economically prosperous, clean, and safe. The district's borders are roughly defined as the area bordered by Poplar Avenue, Interstate 40, Vance Avenue, and Danny Thomas Boulevard between Downtown and Midtown. The medical district employs more than 16,000 people and has more than 8,000 students, many of whom commute into the district each day.
