A Look at 2015's Architecture Month

In September 2015, Architecture Month celebrated AIA Memphis’ 62nd anniversary with a full calendar of fun events:

September 1, 15, & 29 . 2014 | Hardhat Tours

Members visit a variety of projects in progress by local architects and firms to go behind the scenes for a in-depth look at the construction phase of the architectural process during our month-long Hardhat Tour series. Open to AIA Memphis architects and associates only. Hardhats and proper clothing required.

Sunday, September 14 . 2014 | Architect’s Bike Tour

Our consistently sold-out Bike Tours featured a variety of midtown landmarks on the first of AIA Memphis’ two Architecture Month Sunday morning bike tours. Riders enjoyed design commentary provided by experienced Memphis architects and designers.

Thursday, September 24 . 2014 | Focus On Design Lecture

AIA Memphis hosts the annual Focus On Design invites creative leaders from around the country to explore design concepts with the Memphis community. Open to the public, the Focus On Design lecture is a part of the AIA Memphis celebration of September’s Architecture Month. This lecture also serves as our monthly Third Thursday.

Friday, September 25 . 2014 | AIA Memphis Golf Open

Featuring a 4-person scramble format, the AIA Memphis Golf Open open included prizes, participation gifts, green fees, carts, beverages, lunch and dinner. All AIA members and non-members, design professionals, engineers, contractors, product representatives, community leaders, and guests were welcome to participate.

Friday, September 25 . 2014 | AIA Memphis Gallery Exhibit: lunITECTS Fifth Anniversary

Join AIA Memphis for an exhibit of design work by the AIA Memphis architectural appreciation group, the lunITECTS. Free and open to the public; reservations not required. Presented in conjunction with South Main Trolley Night and Architecture Month.
